About SMNS
St. Mary’s Nursery School, Bokaro (SMNS) is an English Medium Co- education institution under the aegis of the St. Thomas Orthodox Church Mission, Bhilai, Chattisgarh, of the Indian Orthodox Church and is an unit of the M.G.M. Group of Educational Institutions. SMNS was established in the year 1976 by Rev. Fr. P. T. Cherian. Late Lamented Bishop H.G. Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius who was an eminent educationist is the founder President of the school. Bishop H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius is the present President of this school. The school management has other 34 educational institutions commonly known as M.G.M. Group of Educational Institutions, spread in various states of India under the Diocese of Calcutta of the Indian Orthodox Church.
The unique nature of SMNS is evident from the fact that during the span of over 45 years in this Steel City this school has attained a name & fame of its own in the field of pre-primary education. SMNS is well acclaimed by the parent community in particular and the general society in general as the best school for initiating a tiny tot’s learning experience for a rock solid foundation.
The school building is spread out in 0.5 acres of land granted by Bokaro Steel Limited management. At present the school complex includes a spacious two storied building at old block and spacious three storied building at new block, well furnished & colorful classrooms, a well maintained playground with ultra modern play station, two audio visual rooms, one play room, one music room, a beautiful garden and a Diesel Generator for uninterrupted power supply. Reverse Osmosis (RO) enabled water filter plant is installed in the campus to ensure hygienic drinking water supply for the children. The school has 3 classes : Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep with multiple sections in each class. The school is privileged to have well qualified, dedicated, trained and experienced staff.
Our management has another leading institution in a separate campus in Bokaro Steel City known as M.G.M. Higher Secondary School situated at Sector - 4/F. It has strength of nearly 3500 students with classes from I – XII. It is affiliated to CBSE board and is one of the most prestigious institutions of the city. SMNS ensures that its every student gets admission in class I of the MGM Higher Secondary School after completing PREP in this school.
However a child who has completed his/her pre-schooling education in SMNS can confidently clear out the admission/screening process of any of the other most sought out schools in Bokaro.
